Born in Paia, Maui, he was a retired salesman for Hilo Rice Mill, head storeroom keeper for the former Naniloa Hotel, U.S. Army veteran and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin. John “Bobo” Nicholas Perez III, 76, of Hoolehua, Molokai, died Dec. 11 in Waimea. He managed the former Don Ho’s Island Grill at the Aloha Tower Marketplace in Honolulu, Molokai Ranch Dining Room, and worked at Kanemitsu’s in Kaunakakai, was a musician who performed with Bell and James and Dick Jensen, high school teacher, drywaller and graduate of Molokai High School class of 1964 and University of Washington. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Hoolehua Congregational Church Fellowship Pavilion, 2205 Lihipali Ave., Hoolehua, Molokai.
